The Beginning
Etta Jean Productions LLC was founded with a vision to create a platform for storytelling and creative expression in late December of 2023.
First Creative Projects
The company’s first original concept, The Dream Interview, was developed—drawing inspiration from life-simulation storytelling and character-character driven narratives, including influences from The Sims franchise.
This project marked the beginning of Etta Jean Productions’ commitment to imaginative, story-focused content.
Expanding The Slate
Locked In a Legend
A short-form horror film centered on a haunting rooted in folklore—a ghostly witch bound by a lingering curse.
The project showcased the company’s ability to build atmosphere, tension, and narrative depth within the horror genre.
Following its festival submission, Locked In a Legend premiered on YouTube on Halloween night 2025— aligning its release with the spirit of the story and reaching a wider audience.
Speed Date
Inspired by Morgan’s real-life encounters within today’s online dating culture, Speed Date transforms familiar experiences into a stylized, comedic rhythm— blending humor and relatability to explore the highs, lows and awkward in-betweens of modern connection.
Speed Date was officially selected by the Rocket City Film Festival 2025, where it is premiered-marking a major milestone and public debut for Etta Jean Productions on the festival stage in their second year in production.
A New Chapter Begins
Etta Jean Productions entered a new era of leadership in late April of 2026. Making a pivotal moment of clarity, focus and renewed vision for the brand’s future.
Under Morgan’s leadership, the company was formally established as an LLC and secured its EIN—laying the groundwork for long-term growth and legitimacy.
Key operational steps were taken to support long-term success, including the development of financial infrastructure and business systems.
Recognized as a finalist and considered for grant opportunities, affirming the strength of the brand and its future potential.
Successfully secured a filming location through a strategic agreement, moving projects from concept into active development.
An ensemble cast committed to continuing the story of Speed Date through a sequel, reflecting strong collaboration and belief in the vision.
Etta Jean Productions is currently developing both a short film and a feature-length film-expanding their scope and impact.
